More on the ride to Lula, MS
More on today's ride. It started out warm and got real cool later in the day. What I saw alot of today was cotton being harvested. And the cotton looked like white silver, all over the place. I was so hungry at lunch time I ate 2 hamburgers and 2 boiled eggs and 2 cups of green beans and a big piece of pie, and 2 Payday bars, and some crackers. I was hungry after 131 miles. Rode with Walt and Steve today. They are angels. My friend Nancy also on television this morning and also a rider on this tour and a breast cancer survivor. I am so honored to represent the ABCF. And I truly feel that I am making a difference and it is important. I talked with a woman (1on1) at Pine Bluff, 39 years old, her Mother and sister had breast cancer, and she had never been screened for breast cancer..., and she promised me she would call the ABCF for a screening. While the trip is absolutely exhausting..., to promote health to people across America is tireless. I love my children very much and they tell me they have been praying for me and very excited about how Mom gets to serve others with good health. I am so thankful just to be working in the field of health promotion, and meeting with people across our nation to talk about quality of life,m and cancer detection. Love, Mom/Donna |
Today we departed Pine Bluff, AR heading to Lula, MS, about a 131 mile trip, which is another long ride, but the landscape will be very green, alot of trees and farms with crops growing, etc. I will be visiting with a local television station regarding the ABCF and will have more to report on that event tomorrow. This has been a very exciting event for me, I am very tired but still dedicated to finishing on 5 Oct at Tybee Island, GA in 7 days. So everyone thanks for your support and love.
Donna/Mom
Today I have departed Pine Bluff, AR and heading out of Arkansas into the state of Mississippi to the town of Lula. Today we will cover over 131 miles which will be quite a long distance, but the weather looks good, and the land is even very green again with the trees and fields. I am alos meeting with a local television station early this morning regarding the ABCF and will have more to report on that tomorrow.
Hope everyone is doing well, I am very tired but determined to finish this quest and represent the ABCF to my fullest.
Love,
